Adult Summer Camp!!!!
Yes, FRC is hosting an Adult Summer Camp this summer from July 7 -10. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to spend four full days with your horse - having fun while being educated, too. The camp will be held at FENCE from 8:00 to 4:30 each day and we will have use of the covered arena to keep us out of the sun. Each day will consist of two riding lessons and two educational lectures.
The riding lessons will be a variety of structured group riding lessons taught by guest instructors and will cover topics such as dressage basics, cavaletti classes, jumping classes, pas de deux classes, ground work, being lunged for position and possibly some trail rides. The purpose is to give you and your horses some safe variety and correct education while enjoying the experience with other riders and their horses. The key word is FUN!
The educational topics will consist of a guest lecturer each day. Lectures might include subjects like a demonstration dressage ride explaining and showing how the movements build upon one another, demonstration polo riders, vet, farrier, saddle fitter, etc. The second educational session each day will be taught by a guest expert and will explore more hands on topics such as braiding techniques, bandaging and wraps, show grooming techniques, etc. There will be plenty of information to absorb!
Lunch will be included in the cost and provided daily.
The cost per rider for the camp is $450 for FRC members and $500 for non-FRC members (but you can join us right away and be a member!)
The cost for the stall is $15. This fee is refundable if the stall is stripped clean - or you can donate that fee to the local Pony Club group and we will arrange for a pony club member to strip your stall clean for you at the end of the camp.
We encourage you to join us. There are only 12 spots available for the camp so don’t dally in getting your application to us as soon as possible.
This promises to be a super time for all - horses included!!
